Help: New laptop for the Sims 4

@Rori-chan22  Are you seeing the same price for both?  Because what I see is a 250€ difference before VAT: 850 for the LOQ and 1100 for the Victus.  Even if the prices were equal, I would still lean towards the LOQ because it's just as fast in gaming and its screen is significantly better.  That doesn't mean the Victus is a bad choice, but it's much more expensive and you're not really getting any benefit from the higher cost.

Feel free to keep asking more questions, or link another site if you'd like to know whether it has better options.

As for the Lenovo, all of its features are ideal for playing The Sims, right? I've read them and overall it seems like a good laptop for both gaming and anything else, but I want to be sure of my decision

@Rori-chan22  Yes, the Lenovo should run Sims 4 great, on ultra settings and with a pile of custom content if you're into that.  There's nothing about its hardware or configuration that should negatively impact how it handles the game.

I think it's normal for it to last less time when playing games, but still, can you use it well even when charging or does it affect the fluidity of the game?

@Rori-chan22  The battery is probably somewhat less than ideal.  But even the best one wouldn't last that long while you were playing.  Fast hardware uses a lot of power, and batteries are constrained by the 100 watt-hour limit imposed by airlines.  So if your hardware can draw 100 watts at peak... well, you do the math.

It's always best to play even moderately demanding games with a laptop plugged in.  Otherwise, a laptop will throttle performance to preserve battery life, and these settings can't always be adjusted by the user.  So you'll inevitably get better performance while charging, and these laptops are designed for exactly that.

I'm not very good at calculations haha ​​but I figured there wouldn't be any battery that would last too long playing a game
Still it's better if I have it charging while I play, right? Or I can play and put the charger on when I need it?

@Rori-chan22  It's better to always have the laptop charging while you play.  If it's running on battery in the moment, it'll throttle power to the components, which means worse performance.

Having it always charging (even if it has battery) while I play doesn't harm the battery as such, right?
