Help Please - Sims 4 won't start
Hello,
My apologies if I am posting in the wrong area or if this is a duplicate post.
I am attempting to play Sims 4 on my PC (which is running an AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics card) and it is not starting. The OS is Linux Mint using Lutris to run Origin which works no issues. I have downloaded and installed Sims 4 which is fine and I have also installed the Legacy version.
No matter which version I choose to play, either 64 bit or Legacy version, neither starts up properly. If I choose the Legacy version then after I click the Play button in Origin, the Origin window minimises and when I maximise it again, the Play button is translucent orange (which makes me think that something is happening) but nothing does, no new windows open. If I choose the 64 bit version of Sims 4 and click the Play button in Origin, the Origin window minimises and when I maximise it again, the Play button is still the same solid (not translucent) orange which is telling me that nothing is happening.
I have read a lot of posts and followed instructions and I can't seem to get this game to work. If anyone has any ideas how to pull a log from Origin or from Sims 4 then I would be more than happy to do so in an attempt to fix the issues I am facing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance for reading,
Dave
@wilsonfamily1605 and @LittleFish226 Try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then Origin in-game, and disable the option at the top.
If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache:

restart your computer, and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. Then try to launch.
