Help! Weird tree glitch in Glimmerbrook (Sims 4)

There's this weird texture glitch for the rural apple tree which ONLY happens in Glimmerbrook. The tree gets this black/white texture during nighttime. Graphics card driver is up to date and I've already tried removing all my mods/cc but the problem still persists. I can't delete the tree in some places (like the tree in the bottom part) because it's part of the world. Any help will be appreciated!

  • @ayaberri  Could you post a screenshot of your in-game settings?  I'd like to compare with mine.  If you're up for experimenting, you can also try changing the settings to see whether it makes a difference.  Even if you don't want to play with those settings, it would be useful information.

Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post, so we can see your GPU, driver version, any associated errors, etc.

  • I have this issue, too. Can't find anything on it anywhere else on the web, but maybe I'm not looking hard enough? I'm also all up to date, and use max settings.

I have this same issue and have run a dxdiag attached here (hopefully). I can hop in game in a bit and get some screenshots if necessary but its literally the same as the already shown.

@xDollparts  Please try changing the graphics settings and see whether it makes a difference.  Your 1050 ti should be able to handle ultra settings, but it's easy to test.

If that doesn't help, please look for any relevant errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes.  You'll see a list of errors and updates, with a column for each day.  (Today is all the way on the right.)

For any recent errors that mention Origin or Sims 4, or any that happen while you're playing, click "View technical details," then copy the information and paste it into a text document.  (Notepad is fine.)  You can attach the file to a post as you did with your dxdiag.  Sometimes the Reliability Monitor doesn't update right away, so if you don't see any related errors, be sure to check back an hour or two.  The timestamp on the initial chart can also be off by up to an hour, so that's not an entirely reliable metric, but the one within the technical details should be accurate.
