high school years add on wont work along with careers

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? sims 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? for rent, toddler stuff , tiny living , strangerville, spooky stuff, snowy escapes, seasons, realm of magic, outdoor retreat, legacy edition, laundry day, hoilday pack, highschool years, get to work, get famous,eco lifestyle, discovery university, cottage living, cool kitchen stuff,city living, cats and dogs , blooming rooms kit , backyard stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? i have stem linked to my ea app and when i download sims on steam and play it sims will do that
What happens when the bug occurs? it just wont let me play any careers and highschools year will not work not even the town
What do you expect to see? high school years should be working and i should be able to get a career
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

hi i am needing help i have steam and the ea app on my pc I DO NOT HAVE MODS but when i download sims on steam it pops up the errors with it and if i dont have sims downloaded on steam and just download sims from EA it acts normal i have 9 mods on there that i want but i can use because they are not even downloading please help ive been trying to fix this for over a week 

*NOTE* Also none of my add on from steam will download even when i was downing sims through steam

    @rosie2498  Does the other High School Years-related content show up in your game, for example the CAS items or Build/Buy objects?  If not, did you buy HSY from Steam, EA, or somewhere else?

    Please also post a screenshot of any error you see.

    yes high school years works but if i downloaded my sims 4 from steam and play it will stop working along with careers and i cant use my other 9 of my downloads because i bought them on steam

    @rosie2498  It looks like you may have multiple issues here.  First, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know which problems are still present.

    ok so as soon as i did as you  said i redownloaded sims 4 and played it throught steam and it still did the same thing
