How do I move out of mom's house and leave mom behind

How do you leave your Mom and Dad behind in their house and you move into another house? Or your Mom and Dad move to another house and leaves you behind at that house?

Go into the map menu, click on the family, and click manage households. Then move the person you want out to a new area 🙂 I know it was hard for me to figure out too!

Thank you again. It worked. But there should be a way kids can move out of Mom and Dads house when they grow up without doing that.
