how do i save my game with my cc after an update?

so my game has just updated and i spent quite a long time building a house which is filled with custom content.

it says that to get my cc back i must restart my game and to do that i believe that i have to delete my current game files.

is there another way that i can save it?

  • Try taking out your mods folder, start the game, test it. If it runs fine, put a few back in, see how it runs.

If it still runs fine you probably have an broken mod/CC. Put half in, keep testing until you find the broken mod/CC and either update or delete it.

You don't have to delete the game files, but in order to get the CC back after an update, go into the game options, go to "Other" and then check the box saying "Enable custom content and mods." It will then ask you to restart your game, in which you would do so, and when you come back, all your CC/Mods should be there. If you saved the game before you updated it and closed out of the game, everything should still be there.

    Hope this helped, happy simming!
