How to fix out of game memory

I got The Sims 4 about two days ago and for two days straight I have gotten the same error when launching.  This is what pops up after a few seconds of the intro: "Out of game memory". I Have tried...

    @ReevesLeaves  Restart your computer, wait five minutes, open the Task Manager, and make sure the EA App and the EABackgroundService are NOT running.  The latter would be under background processes.

    If that doesn't help, uninstall the EA App the normal way, i.e. through Windows, and then use Piriform's CCleaner (the free version is also fine) to clean any leftover App-related data.
