How to move game to external hard drive

Thanks so much.  That's where I'm confused though.  For example, when I do a search for "saves" in file explorer, under the main hard drive (C🙂, this is the path for the last save -
C:\Users\myname\OneDrive\Sims 4 Videos\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves\scratch\scratch_3933

It's kind of weird now that I'm looking at it.  Or is it not?  Does this mean I am duplicating the files, like they're on my main C: drive AND OneDrive?  Which brings me to another question - should I try and can I fix this?? (I guess that would be a completely new topic.) Or does that pathway, unbeknownst to me, look normal?

Sorry so many questions (and for apparently being somewhat dumb about this) 🤣 Thank you both, again, for your help.  I'm still thinking about getting the extra drive for storage space (not sure about SSD as it takes more time to have it installed, and I need my computer for work as well).  Just want to be sure, before I make that purchase, that it will be beneficial.
