how to play Sims 4 with 4 add-ons offline in either Steam or the EA app

Hi guys,

 I try to play the Sims 4 with the 4 add-ons University, City Living, Island Living and Seasons installed. I try to play this offline. That hasn't worked out so far. I downloaded the Sims 4 in the EA app when the game became free. At the time there was a Steam sale. October 2022. I then bought the 4 add-ons. the 4 add-ons are managed by Steam. I have been able to play the Sims 4 from the EA app offline when the Sims 4 has been uninstalled in Steam. However as the 4 add-ons are managed by Steam, the 4 add-ons are shown to be in need of installing and there is no way for me in the EA app to install the 4 add-ons from what I can see. I hope somebody out there can help me play the Sims 4 with the 4 add-ons offline. Either in Steam or in the EA app.

    @theomatics  Is your base game currently installed through Steam?  If not, please uninstall the EA App version and reinstall through Steam.  Download your four packs, launch the game once while online, and then see whether you can play through Steam while offline.

    The EA App and Steam are both supposed to allow offline play, but this particular function has been a blt glitchy so far, so I'm not surprised it isn't working for you.  However, it should be fixed sooner or later.

    Don't suspose this will help but when I'm playing sims 4 and I go onto the gallery it tells me I need to go online to view the gallery content so I assume when I launch from steam the game runs offline, but I'm probably wrong.

    @JackAubreyCpt  When you launch from Steam, both Steam and the EA App should be running online unless you've taken steps to change that.  And in fact, last I heard at least, EA games in Steam didn't support offline mode at all.  So if your Gallery isn't connecting, there's probably a different issue here.
