how to play sims 4 without al my expansions, game, stuff packs and several kits.

i was trying to install just sims 4 without all my add ons. i deselected the instal button for the add ons as i started to download it on my old laptop. but once i started the game all out of the blue the program did start to download the add ons.
so how do i play sims 4 with just the basic game on my laptop. i prefer playing in my own account. Because that could be an option but that would be silly..
What happens with my add ons on my pc if i deinstall them on the laptop. i do not want the pc to lose the add ons as it is a hell of a job to install all of them again. (i have almost everything just a few kits are missing)
The reason i want to play without add ons is that i want to play the sims in the same way as my friend. We want to do challenges to see who is going to win the challenge.

@DanSim7559 The EA App will always try to download any missing DLC, at least until you cancel it once, but you do have two decent options. One is to deactivate the packs you don't want to use, as described here:

The other is to create a second EA account and use that instead, at least on the laptop. The other account won't own your DLC and will therefore not be able to use it.
Neither of these options will affect your other computer or your account.
