I cannot finish installing the Sims 4.
My patience is running thin. I have brought a physically brand-new copy of the Sims 4 Limited Edition for PC. I have spent the last five to six hours trying to install this. I get the same error ever...

I downloaded sims 4 on my nan&grandads laptop on christmas day today I tried to download it on mine but it don't work

You could do an online search for Sims 4 serial codes and input them into the field in which a serial number is needed. it would be a trial and error process.
Same issue here, on the phone with EA for 2 hours and went through their steps and nothing still. This is week #2 trying to figure this out. I honestly can't believe that after reading all the posts and support help there is no end in sight (or refund, since the game package has been "opened")
Have you had luck installing your game? or have you given up?
Reading the previous posts everyone had the disk 2 issue not reading (i did too), its a really simple fix and that is go into your origin account and register/redeem your code for your game, then in your My Games tab find your game and install from there, its a lot better than changing disks etc. and then in no time you will be happily simming. 🙂

Yes you can, do it through your Origin account. I had mine installed on my main computer, that started playing up, needs an update of ram and graphics, anyway I installed my game onto my laptop and have had no issues. Once you have registered your game through your origin account and you use that same account to install it there should be no problem at all. It would be pretty silly if they didnt allow this because lets face it computers are always stuffing up and players will want the option of changing where they play their paid for games.
