I can't activate sims 4

Whenever I try and enter my serial code, it says The product key entered was not found in our system. Please verify your product key and re-enter it to complete activation. Please help me!

O, 0 and D, Z and 2 and B and 8 look almost identlich (IMHO)

Where did you wait for over an hour ? Support ? I'm afraid if you are positive you typed it right, I can't really help you (I'm a user like you), so a game advisor through support would be the right way to go about it.

Did you just buy the game or did it use to work ?
