I Can't Get Past the Neighborhood Screen

I have literally just got past this issue. My partner has been desperately trying to fix my game as it did the same thing and he couldn't bear my moaning that my game was broken.

After hours of online searching, he thought he would try it himself. He had a horrible feeling that the save files may be corrupted. So after trying everything, and nothing worked, he decided to just go ahead and remove my 25 hours worth of save files from the game. He had them backed up on the computer but decided to remove them from the The Sims 4 file on the hard drive.

This took all of my work out of the game and started again as though it was from scratch which was painful, but actually worked. It seems my files somehow got corrupt. I don't use mods or cheats, I'm always careful with saving so I don't know how it happened.

It works perfectly now, but it just have to start completely from the beginning and have lost all my saved games.

But if you're like me and you just want to get your game working again, remove the 'Save' file from the Sims 4 folder in hard drive and start afresh. It worked for me, hope it does for you too!
