I can't save in CAS or at all

At first, my game wasn't starting at all. It would load up up until the logo and music (approx 15 seconds) and crash. The graphics card update fixed this issue. I deleted all my saves thinking it would help, but before that, the game would not save if I loaded a file. I would try to save, and the game would crash.

After getting the game to start up finally and going into character creation, I try to save and play a sim, and the x and checkmark become white with no sign of working. If I try to save to gallery, it tells me something may be wrong with my Internet connection and to try again later.

I have tried everything possible to troubleshoot this.

Relevant information:

-The game is on a external hard drive with more than enough memory.

-Windows defender is not blocking it.

-I have for rent (I know there are common save issues surrounding this pack). I tried playing without this pack but still had the same issue.

-I attempted to just use the base game to play and still couldn't save anything.

-I have reinstalled and repaired so many times.

I tried to reinstalled the entire ea app.

  • Sin7707  Is the game installed to your external drive, or have you redirected your user folder there, or both?  If both, what is the file structure?  As in, do you have the two sets of files combined or in separate folders, and what is the file path to each one?

If you haven't moved the user folder to the external drive, please find its path, as described here:

and let me know whether it's inside a OneDrive folder.

It sounds like you created a new save to test with, but if not, please do that now and let me know whether it works better.
