I changed my Origin file location and now my saves and mods won't load

@Raelie-chan  Please check which Sims 4 folder your game is using now.  Here's how:

List the full path to the folder here, and also the path to the Sims 4 folder that has your mods in it.  You can write [username] instead of your actual username, but please leave the rest of the file path intact.

Okay, so my game is using D:\[username]\Videos\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

My mods folder is in D:\[username]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods


I think I'm seeing the issue but I have no idea how my stuff got in my video folder or how to fix it

@Raelie-chan  Just to clarify, is it only screenshots and/or video that's going to your Videos folder, or the saves as well?  The former would be unusual but not unheard of; the latter would be quite strange.  (I have no idea how that would happen either.)  If you didn't have a save where you could check the file path, please create one now and see where it lands.

If it is in fact the entire folder landing in Videos, do you use GeForce Experience or another app to launch the game?  Do you use any apps for video capture or anything similar?  Sims 4 is coded to put its user data folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and is supposed to always look there, but maybe another program is redirecting it somehow.

Saves are going into videos as well. I don't know why but for some reason it seems like my videos folder is tied to my documents folder - whenever I try to put something in Documents, it ends up in Videos instead. I don't use any other programmes to launch or record the sims so it's very unusual
