So you are saying that you can not find ts4_x64 as described previously.? If so the game is not installed. You start the install by clicking the game in Origins My Games folder that will start the install and it is perfectly safe to do.

hiya ive never used this forum either but stumbled upon it trying to figure it out have you installed sims through steam? i have sims both in steam and origin so there was some confusion but i found my bin files for my shaders here , D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin , hope it helps a little if u havent sorted it yet 🙂)

  • Yeah yes hi I would also like some answers. I don't know if anyone is having my specific problem, but this is the closest thread I could find. See, my sims was originally downloaded onto my one drive, which came with my computer. There wasn't * for space, so all my sims expansions were taking up too much room or something. Mods too. So, I decided to just reinstall them onto my computer's operating system OS (C🙂. Once this was done, I was only able to find the sims under "Origin Games" folder. There was no Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves or even a mods folder! I could not find it anywhere, even tried to just make a new folder with all of my saves in it so I could back up my saves that I worked very hard on, and put it right in the origin games folder. Nothing. I have never been so frustrated, and I hate that we have to go through origin to play the game, anyway!

@meganreafer  Saves don't go into the game's program files, they go into the user folder, which is located in Documents > Electronic Arts.  This folder doesn't appear until you've launched the game at least once, and after that, it does need to exist somewhere.

Does Sims 4 open for you at all?  If so, you can use this method to find out which folder the game is reading:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

That's the location where you need to put your saves.  If you're not sure what you're working with, please post the full file path you see in-game.  You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you like, but please leave the rest of the file path intact, and let me know if the username you see is NOT the one tied to your Windows account.
