I keep getting "Error - the system cannot find the file specified."

I consistently get this error for reasons I cannot figure out when trying to open The Sims 4. The repair function in EA does not fix it because of a "permissions error" and apparently EA does not hav...

starlightfrogs Is the game itself installed to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4? This is the location of the user data, but the program files should be elsewhere. If you're not sure, you can list the contents of this Sims 4 folder, or post a screenshot. Please also let me know what the EA App thinks: open it, select Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and list the location there.

Please let me know what antivirus you use as well.
