I need sims 4 recognize Microsoft onedrive

I'm happy that SIMS 4 in my desktop saves the game in the One Drive... but the problem is that it did it automatically so I have no idea how it was done. Now I have a laptop and I installed SIMS 4 and this laptop One Drive has my desktop SIMS 4 game there and this makes me happy... the thing is that my laptop game don't recognize the save in the One Drive and I don't know how to link it...

My laptop I will use it when I travel and when I visit people... but at home I prefer play with my desktop... and the One drive help me to play the same game in both computers... and I can play offline (I only need to connect the laptop to internet the time to sync before and after I travel... the rest can be offline)...

How can I link the game to the save I have in the One Drive?

  • @Alahyana,

Please try this steps on your laptop

    • Go to System Tray (located on the clock area in the Taskbar) and look for the OneDrive icon (two clouds).
    • Right click on the icon and select Settings
    • Go to the Autosave tab and on the Documents setting, choose OneDrive instead of Only on this computer
    • OneDrive should now sync your Documents folder and the Electronic Arts folder should appear. If this doesn't happen, please close OneDrive on the System Tray and restart it by searching OneDrive on the Start Menu and clicking in the OneDrive icon on the search results.

@Alahyana OneDrive allows users to sync their data between computers. To enable OneDrive - click windows symbol lower left, click all apps, open OneDrive and sign in to the same account you used on the other computer and the two computers are synced with the data you choose. You can log in and out - turning the service on and off. For some people this could be an asset. The problem I have is that puts your data in the public domain - that's right, that data is sitting on a server in a Microsoft data center. First my computers all have different purposes and don't need to be synced. Second I don't like the 800 pound gorilla (Microsoft) having access to personal data on my computer - not that I have anything to hide but if the Microsoft Police want to know anything all they have to do is ask. Google and Amazon and others are getting into the act. As time goes on I don't see this being a free service (do you really think Microsoft is doing this out of the goodness of their heart?). Yes the data is secure, yes the data is backed up, Yes the data is available 99.9% of the time but... I have been using NAS storage for some time (years) and I control who accesses it and when.
