I need to uninstall sims 4, will i lose my expansion packs and CC?

HI! I have recently downloaded items of CC and my game was still working but I downloaded loads more of CC and now when I try and load up sims 4 I get a notifications saying I need to delete my CC an...

    You won't loose game progress, game saves or your custom content. Before you uninstall/reinstall, just back up your Sims 4 folder to the desktop and all your Sims 4 files should be fine.

how do i backup my sims 4 folder to my desktop?

    You can plug a USB stick into your laptop or computer then put a copy of your game files or mods folder onto the USB you just need to go to This PC > USB Drive (F🙂 >  on your file explorer i'm not certain if everybody 's USB drive is marked as F but that's what my USB drive is marked as sorry that there's a smiley face i tried to put a colon with a bracket but it shows up at a smiley face.
