Im getting the error VC runtime despite doing everything I could think of.

I've had countless errors with this program and finally thought I'd be done, when yesterday I woke up after downloading the sims 4 overnight, expecting to play it, to the VC++ runtime error, specific...

    Thanks for the reply,

    I ended up realizing I did something really stupid. One of the people from EA called me and helped me troubleshoot, and at that point, I remembered I had been booting my computer up in safe mode with networking every single time I restarted it. So I was trying to finalize the download in safe mode, which of course doesn't work because the Windows installer doesn't work in safe mode. So I figured it out, fixed it and it is running.

@Tori32112  Just to clarify, what exactly have you done to address the VC++ runtimes?  There are a few different ways to approach that troubleshooting, and of course a number of different runtimes from different years.

If this latest download doesn't work, try downloading in a clean boot instead.  (This is different than safe mode.)

If that doesn't help, try downloading into a new Windows user account.  Make sure it's an admin account and that its name contains only letters and numbers, no special characters.

If that doesn't work either, please run a dxdiag and attach the results to a post here.
