Hello,

@JennaAntrobus - You should be able to play the game at medium-high settings with your GT 740M. Perhaps you are receiving the error message because the game doesn't recognise your newer graphics chip. Although, I would make sure in the NVIDIA Control Panel that The Sims 4 is set to use the high performance NVIDIA card instead of your Intel HD chip.

@pppatti - You should be able to play the game at medium settings, but you may want to consider cooling options to prevent overheating.

@justin31301 - Unfortunately your graphics chipset is not supported in the full game, so you may receive poor performance. The demo isn't as intensive as the full game, so often gives a false picture of how the full game will play - you would probably experience quite a lot of lag.

    thanks for the response 🙂

    I tried the suggested settings. but the game still wont open. i have googled the error code and it is apparently an error with origin...

    I'm not entirely sure if that is the case however i will look into it further
