Hi!
I have been having this problem since the last update (before the most recent January patch)... I have tried all of the above solutions and my game still starts up to a black screen with music.
I don't know if this is relevant, but my Sims 3 game is doing the same thing (but my Sims 2 game works perfectly fine).
I've attached by DxDiag.
Some basics about my computer:
- Dual graphics ((I have Sims 4 running on the card, not the chip))
- 64-bit with 4gb ram ((I have Sims 4 running as 32-bit))
- Windows 10
I hope something can be figured out, because I haven't been able to play my game for almost a month now and it's super upsetting ☹️
How about the CAS Demo, does that work ?
Could you also try to roll back to earlier AMD drivers ?

The CAS demo works perfectly.
How would I go about changing to an earlier AMD driver?

Start the device manager and click on graphics cards. Then choose the AMD one and choose drivers. There should be an option to use the earlier ones.
Also somewhere on the AMD page, there should be a page to re-download them but I have no luck finding them atm.
Try the device manager first and if it doesn't work, I'll try to find the drivers for you.- Anonymous10 years ago
I was able to rollback to earlier driver but it still doesn't work. I'm convinced this is just an unsolvable problem LOL
Thank you for all your help so far though!
