I had been having the issue where I was able to install Sims 4, but when I tried to launch the game, it would not open. The Diagdx was showing the appcrash on TS4.
I tried a bunch of stuff that didn't help, but this morning I tried closing Origin completely and reopening IT as an administrator. Then ran the game as Administrator.
It seems to be working so far! Might not help everyone with this particular version of launch errors, but I have seen a lot of 'run the game as Admin' and not much 'run both Origin and the game as Admin', so I wanted to toss the idea out there.
