I just got my laptop as a Christmas present. I downloaded Origin and logged in to play the Sims 4, everything was smooth sailing until I got home and found that my computer was updated. I logged in to check out the update (windows) and play Sims. When I went to open Origin a "Bad Image Error" popped up. I've completely deleted Origin and tried to download it at least 4 times now but the error pops up.
This is the error message
C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/MSVCP120.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f
So far all I've done is run a corrupted file scan which brought about no results. I also did a system restore but this didn't change anything. 😢
I also have steam downloaded and it's been running fine since the update. I can play games with no problem and Origin seems to be the only program that has been affected.
