interaction menu slow

For a while now my interaction menu takes forever to load, sometimes it can take 2 second, sometimes up to 8, this is specifically on other sims and also on Computers and fridges. I have tried all sorts of things such as updating my drivers, checking for viruses, uninstalling and reinstalling sims + origin, defragging my drive, and resetting my sims 4 folder, playing in offline mode, or in windowed mode, i noticed that when I was in Sulani, it was a lot less laggier than if i lived in Strangerville, I have quite a few packs and I do play with cc, but even without the packs and cc, i still experience the slow interaction menu on the same things. On new saves there is also not any difference. Everything else in the game runs perfectly fine, no slow loading screens, this is the only thing wrong in my game and it’s such a bother!

    @Millgaming1472  I'm not sure what the second part of that is, but you can reopen Command Prompt or Powershell and run sfc now.  Let me know how it goes.

    @puzzlezaddict This is what I got for sfc : C:\WINDOWS\system32> sfc /scannow

    Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

    Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

    Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>

    @Millgaming1472  Please test the game now, in its most ideal environment.  That means the following:

    • Move your entire Sims 4 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the old folder but won't be read by the game, which will create a clean folder.)
    • Restart your computer, and don't open any other apps.
    • Open Origin, put it in offline mode, and then take your laptop completely offline, as in, disable wifi and/or pull the ethernet cable.
    • At the Main Menu, put the options on low if they're not already.
    • Start a new save, have a look around, travel, etc. to see how it runs.

    This will give you an idea of what you can expect in terms of game performance.  If you still get lag, the last thing to try is a clean boot, and again don't open any other apps, and take your computer offline before you play.

    @puzzlezaddict I am yet to try what you have suggested because I have only just seen your reply, but I thought it may be necessary to mention that my firmware drive constantly has issues, ever since August last year it has had a ! In a triangle beside it, it is giving me code 10 which is asking me to restart but even after multiple restarts it does not fix the issue, I’ve looked into it but can still not figure out the issue, but I will try what you suggested ASAP! 🙂

    @puzzlezaddict After doing as said with reloading, the game runs fine, clicking on fridges, other sims and pcs per usual takes up to 10 seconds to load the interaction menu after the click sound the game makes when you click to interact, and moving my cursor around on my screen is very delayed in it seems to almost “teleport” around my screen.
