@amyintheskies I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section.
Please try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

@amyintheskies You can try reinstalling DirectX 9:

If that doesn't work though, you might be stuck uninstalling and reinstalling. You can reinstall the base game only and test, just to make sure it works; then download your packs afterwards.

Actually I just downloaded a d3d9.dll file from a sim Tumblr page that made sweetFX files! Thanks for the help though.
