Is Sims 4 worth it?

I currently have sims 2 which I quite like, but I want to get either sims 3 or 4 - obviously sims 3 is cheaper, so is sims 4 worth the cost? I'm slightly tempted by 4 now it has pools... plus it's the latest one so it'll be getting more new stuff and I feel it should be best just cause it's the newest.

So - is sims 4 worth the extra money?
And do you think they'll bring out some good expansion packs? I loved the supernaturals original sims EP, so I really hope they do a supes one :P

    I would check some youtube gameplays if you haven't done so yet. I personally think it is worth it if you are a fan of the Sims series!

    Sims 3 was good but it has run it's course. The sims 4 is now the current version and I think EA will keep it's flagship product going for all it's worth (that means expansion pack). TS4 does not seem to be as hardware demanding but the minimum requirements seem to target newer hardware then for TS3. TS4 is new and I think EA will come out with expansion packs to make TS4 interesting. TS4 will need more (and better) features else why upgrade from TS3. Stay tuned as time will tell.
