it says sims 4 is running but it isnt

when i go and try to play sims 4 and open through EA it starts to open and then nothing happens. i restart my computer and do the same thing it happens again. i tried to repair it, that didn't do anything. when i tried to open it again it said it was already running but i cant find the game.
