Items removed when trying to edit a sim downloaded from the gallery?

So, I just downloaded sims 4. Once the game was down I got on and downloaded some sims from the gallery. When I'm in create a sim and I select one of those downloaded sims to edit I get a "Items removed" message that says items were removed that i dont own or the creator didnt own? and the sim is there but without any of the clothes or hair that i downloaded them with? I'm not very tech savvy; maybe I havent fully downloaded the sim? I miss the old CC download way on sims 3 where you could just download a sim and have all their CC in your closet.

  • I understand that you miss the old system, but this way it's safer for the players. CC is not official after all.

You can download sims with their CC attached if you download them from websites like The Sims Resource. 🙂

Anyway, have you set the gallery so it shows you content with CC? Because if you didn't, you probably just downloaded a sim with content from packs you don't own.

  • Yeah, I remember having to go through and check each piece of CC when i got one bad one. That was a hassle.

Yeah, its checked. But you're saying you download the CC separately from a different site?

    I'll try that. Thank you!!🥳

@Ayanna1197 Sometimes people who upload sims to the gallery provide a link to download the CC their creation is using. If you install that CC and then download the sim again, it will have the CC.

Alternatively, you can download sims from other websites that aren't the gallery. Creators that upload their sims there usually include the CC in the same file, or they include links to the CC in the description of the download.

Let me know if you have any question. 😉
