July 2015 update of Sims 4 has grayed out my play button

Close Origin and reopen.

Do you have check for updates ?

I did that and It did not work at all then I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and now I keep getting an install error.

EDIT: Now it is letting me repair the game at least and I will see if that works

I was having the same problem so i contacted EA, they helped me solve the problem, apparently there is a glitch which unables gameplay but here's what to do as it has worked for me. Reset origin, here is the link linked to me to do so:http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/  I am sure there is one for windows too if you use windows but after that redownload origin and login as usual and should be able to play
