Keyboard not working in-game

I've been playing the sims 4 for a couple days now since I've gotten it. I recently opened up my sims and went back to playing as usual but I have noticed now that my keyboard is not working while in game. I cannot name my sims at all. Everything on the outside like the arrow keys and ESC do work however the letter keys do not work for some reason. I usually move around th screen using WASD but I cannot now because my keyboard is not working in game anymore. If anyone knows a solution to this please help! I reinstalled 2 times already and it still has this issue.

    Hi @Top_Star_Noel

    I assume your keyboard works fine outside the game ?

    Try repairing the game through Origin by right-clicking on the base game and choosing repair game

    Also are you using mods/cc ?
