What unfortunate to hear that you're having issues with The Sims 4 not launching in the language that you would like it to launch.
When you select the language that you want for the game via Game Properties > Advances Launch Options > Select the language > Press Save, does it also start to verify the game files? (You can see that in the bottom left corner of Origin)

- EA_Leeuw@nynny44, alright! So even after Origin verified the game files when you changed the language, it is still not working. Hmm, that's odd indeed!
Unfortunately in this case I really think performing a complete reinstall of the game would be the way to go. However, the other thing you can still potentially try is a Clear of the Cache of Origin: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/- @EA_Leeuw Clearing the cache was unfortunately no help either. I've now accepted the fact that I need to reinstall the game, but now I've encountered a whole new issue: I can't uninstall! Clicking uninstall from Origin does absolutely nothing. Trying to uninstall through control panel prompts a confirmation window, and then a window asking permission for EA Installer Cleanup, and accepting is followed with exactly nothing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Origin client, and still nothing... I'm at my wits' end with this!
