Language change

Hey! So I recently got the Sims 4 and I cannot change the language! I have it into polish but I want to change it to english. I downloaded it from EA so I can't do anything with Steam btw. As well, I have tried many ways like for example the, "regedit.exe" to change the language, it didn't change it. As well the website keeps on saying to change it in Origin but I literally can't, it's like Origin isn't available anymore, is there any other way to change the language?

  • @Karolka711  Steam and Origin/EA App installs read the same Sims 4 user folder, as in, the one in Documents > Electronic Arts.  So you don't need to do anything to preserve your user data; the Steam version will just read it where it currently is and let you pick up where you left off from there.  Just be sure to install all the packs you own already, or you might find your saves won't load with the missing data.

  • @Karolka711  It sounds like you received the Polish/Russian/Czech language-locked version, and in that version, there's no way to change the language.  Did you buy the game or get it for free in the last couple days?  I'm not sure whether the free version from Origin or the EA App is supposed to still be language-locked.

The Steam version is not, so that's one option for you, or you could contact EA customer support and request that your current version be removed and the global version be added instead.  I don't know whether that'll work, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

@puzzlezaddict Ive been thinking about getting Steam just to chang we the language but will there be a way to have everything saved? For example, will I be able to  easily change the files I have from EA to the Steam folder? I tried to talk with support yesterday but they just left me on read and I didn't get any help.
