@riverdayspirit What I was asking was more along the lines of, are you okay with a big bulky laptop that's not as easy to carry around? Becuase other than a few high-end models, gaming laptops are bulky, and lightweight laptops have weaker hardware. It's still usually possible to find a lightweight laptop that would run Sims 4 on high graphics settings, just not ultra, again uness you get into a really high price range.
Solid state drives make things like photo and video editing go much faster for sure, as does having a stronger processor. The processor isn't as much of an issue in the very new lightweight laptops: the better CPUs are actually reasonably powerful considering their intended uses. There are still differences among the various models, but it's a matter of how quickly a task gets accomplished, not whether it can be done at all.
The other consideration is that on the various Colombian sites I checked, inventory seems to be lower than I remember. I didn't see any laptops with an Nvidia 1650 for under 3.000.000; the one with the 1050 ti was the best graphics card I found. And I also didn't see any models with a gaming graphics card and a large solid state drive—the choices were an SSD that's probably too small (256 GB) or 1 TB mechanical drive. It looks like inventory might be turning over, although I don't know how long it would take for the stores to restock.
I can still look for the best options possible, it's just that those best options aren't as good as they looked even a few weeks ago.
Mm, i understand. Well, i think that doesn't matter completely if she can still carry it in her arms its okay haha, a light one would be great to carry it to school but if it has to be bulkier to have all of those components we can do that. Its okay if it will only run it in high graphics my concern is that she has enough space and the pc doesn't lag when she's working on it, so a good memory and things like that you talked about would do that. Yeah, I understand maybe some sites are running low on some things because they're bringing more items for the next weeks sales. If it helps, we always buy on these sites and are trustworthy and we're still on a maximun budget of 3.000.000-3.200.000
