Latest Patch corrupted my Game Files; No Option to Repair in Origin
When I was attempting to download the latest patch of today (to fix the broken genetics in the game), I received the following message: "one of the game files is corrupted please repair install." However, when I attempted to do so, there was no longer any repair option available on right clicking the menu. I tried restarting the computer and then Origin, but the repair option still did not show up. On looking around Answers HQ, I found the advice to delete the Origin cache files. I tried that but there is still no option to repair. By the way, my game did not have any mods in it when this problem happened. Now my game will not start at all nor can I repair it or update it in Origin. Is there anything I can do? I would really prefer not to have to uninstall the game. Thanks in advance for any advice or help.
No I own a licensed version bought from EA. I ended up fixing my game but not by uninstalling it, which I absolutely did not want to do (my internet can be slow and reinstalling it would have been a huge pain). Instead, I uninstalled and reinstalled Origin. That seemed to fix the problem, at least for now. I was able to repair my game.
