Lighting issue with staircase

Hello! 

I'm working on a build with a grand staircase but it's causing a lighting issue on the ceiling, just wondering if anyone has a fix? 

I've tried messing around with the rooms, ceilings and lights but the dark patch only goes away when I put the floor back in.
