Load game and new game option not loading.
Hey so, i've been trying all day to get my sims game to work properly. it was working fine yesterday i had all my households, etc. Today when i opened the game it reset and only shows New game, Play scenario, Gallery and options. I've tried the method of removing saves files and putting them in desktop and then creating a new save file, and inserting my old one back in but, that does no work. I've tried repairing 3 times, does nothing. My one drive does not have anything on it so i am very confused. No one in the sims discord helped either. can anybody help here? i really do not want to lose all my progress. 😢
@spottedviolet60 You only have backup copies of your saves, not any the game can read. But that's fixable: delete the .verx extension from one of the files, so that it ends in .save , and the game will be able to load it. If you want to test with multiple backups, rename them so they don't all have the same number, e.g. change the 2 to a 4 or 5.
If that doesn't help, go into the game and find the full path to your user folder, as the link in my previous post describes. Then list that location here.
