Load Game and New game
I am utterly confused on how new game and load game works. I already asked on reddit and got this reply
'New game creates a new file.
'Save' saves the game you're playing in that moment, overwriting the original file of that exact game, whereas 'Save as' creates a new file of the game you are currently playing.
Elaborating in the former just to be safe because I explained it rather confusingly: Say you're playing the family Teriyaki and the game-file is called Teriyaki as well. When you press 'save' you won't be able to go back to before you pressed 'save'.'
but I still don't have a clue, especially when they talk about save and save as. Are different saves just different families? Does new game create a separate world?
In the first menu you can choose the play button, this will load the previous save.
You can choose load game, this gives you an option to select a save file to load.
New game gives you the option to start a new save file, with a clean world. (Doesn't have to overwrite your previous creation)
Save game saves the current game on the file you loaded.
Save as saves the game with a custom name for when you might want to go back to the previous save. You can start as many new saves, with different worlds as you want. If you save them with a clear name you'll be able to go back at any point.
Does this make it any clearer?
