Sorry to dig up an old post but I too am suffering from this.
I have 6 IT nerds in a custom house (more like a box, hah) with objects that correlates to the pro gamers job branch.
This is most pressing when a sim would be actioned to make food, but stays in front of the fridge which blocks it for others.
Which drive do you have the game installed on ?
