Long time save file has massive delay on actions

My wife has a long time save file on Sims that she loves to play. It is about 2 years old and was running fine, but now there is huge delay on almost every action which makes playing annoying. Charac...

Hey @TartSquirrel to start with I'd recommend removing all mods and custom content and then load the save file to see if you continue to have the issue.

    I forgot to add, no mods were used on this file. Pure vanilla.

      In that case @TartSquirrel it can happen that the bigger your save gets the more issues you see. If the game has been growing for years then it may be a case that there is too much going on, if you check for homeless Sims removing them from the game can help.

        @EA_Darko How do you check for homeless sims? Sorry I know next to nothing about sims.
