Looking For A Laptop/Gaming Computer

I'm looking for laptop or a gaming computer suggestions to play the sims 4 on and I currently have no budget. So I'm looking for something that will run the program, mods, or packs I get very smoothly. I also might play some other games but that's about it. Any tips would help a lot, thanks.

  • molly8692  No budget at all?  Not even a number you'd think was unreasonable for a laptop?

I'd be happy to help you find something, but without any guidance at all, it's difficult to make suggestions.  I do need to know whether you want a laptop or desktop too. If you're not sure, feel free to ask questions; we can talk about the benefits and drawbacks of each.

Please also list your country so I can make suggestions that are actually available in your region.

Hey yeah technically no budget but maybe anything maybe over 2,000 dollars is a bit unreasonable unless it is a really good quality laptop.

I am in fact looking for a laptop and and am located in the united states so I guess I probably have a lot of options.

Hope that helps, I just don't know much about things like computer specs.

I just want to play the sims and have it run smoothly.

    Thanks

  • molly8692  I apologize for the late reply; I've been having trouble keeping up with the forums lately.

What do you think about this laptop?

It has a high-resolution, high-refresh-rate, high-quality screen—OLED screens are very pretty and have great color depth and contrast.  Its hardware is overkill for Sims 4 in that the processor and graphics card will never be close to maxed out when running the game.  The ROG Zephyrus line is very good quality overall.  This particular model also on sale for a very reasonable price.

I don't expect I would be able to find anything quite this good for quite so good a price.  But if there's some detail you don't like about this one, you certainly have the budget to be picky.  So please let me know what you think and we can go from there.

An alternative to consider, as a frame of reference, is this one, which does not have an OLED screen but is otherwise very similar.  The Legion line is also very high quality overall.
