Lost data/ The gallery not working

I have 3700+ hours of game-play on The Sims 4 and noticed a few months ago that all of my save files had been deleted as well as all of my gallery uploads and downloads. I have since tried recovering it, and I cannot get any of my data back. I have logged onto the gallery and all community content including items I have previously downloaded are displaying as red X's - when I click on them, a 'cannot locate file' message is displayed. I'm just a little frustrated that I have so much time on the game and all of my data has gone, but also that I cannot access any online content either. Is there any way I can get my save data back/ even just fix the gallery? (I've already looked in the EA/The Sims folder on my actual PC and none of my previous saves are there! All custom content and mods have been removed.)

  • @chloejane2001  For the Gallery issue, try the steps listed here:

For the missing saves, are they possibly in OneDrive?  That's a common place for content to land—OneDrive uploads the entire contents of Documents, and if you don't have a lot of free storage on your hard drive, your system may remove the copy stored locally to preserve space.

If that's not the issue, try searching your computer.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, then enter Slot* (with the asterisk) in the search box in the upper right corner.  This should turn up any saves stored on your hard drive(s).  You can repeat with *.package and *.ts4script to look for custom content and mods.
