Lost save after blue screen

In my case I think it is not because of my computer, I just bought this computer yesterday and is an Envy HP, now the game does prompt a message when first opened "Video Card Unrecognized" and it tells me that it will use the maximum video settings but it was fine, the computer crashed 1 time today and I'm pretty sure that it was BECAUSE of the game, I was playing and I took down the lid and seconds later I had a blue screen on my windows 10, but after that the game was OK, and everything worked just fine, I continued playing for a while and close the game and opened again and latter on when I opened the game again the family that I had was gone :S

  • I bought my new Envy HP 2 days ago and started playing sims 4 and now my family is gone, when I started the game again the play button sent me to create a new family and I didn't I looked for another way to find my created family and I couldn't, I see and my saved folder just has 2 saved versions from when I started the game. Do you think that the fact that I also have the demo (creating a sim) installed can affect this? what can I do to recover my game? if not is this going to continue? this is the first time that I play the game since I bought it on the launch of it (but I was not be able to play it because my computer didn't supported it but with this computer is certain that should work just fine) Thank you

split your post so you can have your own thread for this

It's possible that the save corrupted on the crash.

Can you check in this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves if you still have files in it ?

Then try moving the slot_00000001.save to the desktop and check if on restarting the game the save shows up again.
