Ok, first of all what version of the Mac OS are you running and on what kind of Mac are you running? Try repairing your game as well.
How do i work out what Os my mac is on? My mac is an Apple Mac and how do i repair my game?

You should see a little black Apple logo in the upper left hand corner of your desktop. Click on it and you should see an option for "About This Mac", select that it will tell you which version you are running.
As for repairing your game, open Origin as normal and select The Sims 4. Do not open the game just yet, but right click with your mouse on the "game box cover" and you should see a list of options. One of them will be to repair your game.
