@ruthwoosh The Tray folder is where the files from your Library entries are stored, so it's no surprise that you don't see anything in-game. Is it possible you moved the files somewhere else? If not, try looking in OneDrive for a second Tray folder, hopefully one with your missing files.
If you don't see anything there, you could search for the missing files by file extension. Open a File Explorer window, click This PC, and enter *.trayitem (with the asterisk) in the search bar. This will instruct your computer to search for any files with that extension. If you find some, you may find the entire contents of Tray. You can also search for *.bpi or *.hhi, which are also both used in Tray files.
If you do find the files, you'll need to transfer over everything, not just the files with the extension you used in your search. Each Library entry has multiple Tray files associated with it, and the item won't load in-game unless all those files are present.

Hello there, I'm sorry to reply 2 months late, I try to search with *.trayitem , *.bpi or *.hhi, but I can't find anything.
(The one that were missing from like 2019 2020, but I found the one from 2018 or older (which I don't use anymore and I don't put them in my tray folders before, I moved them to another files long time ago, basically unimportant))
(I can only find my new / recent tray file from Sept-Nov 2020)
And I also try the OneDrive one but none of the tray files appeared.

@ruthwoosh I'm sorry to say it, but if you don't have any other backups, it sounds like your files are gone. I don't know what happened, maybe OneDrive synced more than once, uploading the files and then deleting them on the next pass. It's difficult to say for sure.
I hope you back up your Tray folder from now on though. There are plenty of reasons files disappear, and it's a lot easier to create backups beforehand than to try to recover your files after the fact.

Something similar happened to me as well, except only one household has disappeared, and my tray folder is completely intact. I even see what I think could possibly be their file in there. I tried reloading the tray file by removing the items in it and making the game create a new one, then replacing them, but it didn't fix the issue. Please help!!
