Missing Sims 4 Interface, Missing Sims/Households and Can't Play Households

Suddenly my interface has gone grey, parts of it are showing but when you load a household, the sim isn't there, you can't do anything. When you come back into the Neighborhood it says the household is empty. Even after creating, placing in house, its suddenly empty!?

All my families seem to be disappearing. I've tried lots of different households, old and new. Taken out ALL my mods, which hasn't made a difference. Uninstalled and reinstalled....

I can't find anything on the internet like this!

Can somebody offer a resolution?

    Did you save your game in this state ?

    Did you also delete your cache files ? Did you have any mods that change something about Pregnancy ?

    No, not saved. I've tried deleting those. But the problem is consistent throughout, regardless of whether I've saved previously. I do have some Pregnancy mods, but I took ALL of them out and it still didn't change anything. These shouldn't be a problem since I've tested it mod-free?

    Where are the cache files? I Haven't tried that.

    If that doesn't help, try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    First don't put anything back but start a new game to see if you also have the issue there. If not, put back your save game only, then try again.

    So the cache trick didn't work, but resetting the game did in a way! The Sim is back, controllable, but the interface is a bit odd looking still.

    Parts of it are still grey and really empty. No wants/needs show up, only whims?

    EDIT: After adding my mods back in, the problem reset. Currently going through all my mods to make sure they are compatible with the latest update...
