Mod Issues/saving issues

Anyone having trouble with mods not showing up in the menu despite having mods allowed?

I have reset the game to see if that would improve things but to no avail. I’ve cleared the thumbnail cache also.

Mods are not disabled in the programming section either.  I am operating malwarebytes as a security package so maybe that has something to do with it. I’m operating on windows 11.

I did keep having an issue where my save files kept saving to my one drive and I hadn’t set it to do this. I’ve turned that off and deleted the game in the one drive but it’s appeared there again for some reason.

Weirdly, I go onto the EA app and the game isn’t downloaded onto my computer either.

UPDATE: I have disconnected my one drive, changed where I am saving my game (I didn’t know how to do this before and I am using an external Hard drive to play) also now my games dont save either.- this is a new development.

  • @sem6iel1sy7m  Please load the game and find the full path to the user folder Sims 4 is reading.  Here's how:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

Then find one of your mods, right-click it, and select Properties > General.  The Location must exactly match the path you see in-game, up to the "The Sims 4" folder.  If they don't, that's the issue, and you simply need to move the files to the correct location.

If that doesn't help, or you can't figure this out, please post both locations: the one you see in-game and the one where your mods are.  Please also post the location of Documents as Windows sees it, for reference.  To find that, search in Windows for Command Prompt, open it, and enter this command:

reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"

    Then post the result.
