mods and cc disappeared?? HELP

I play the sims 4 a lot, and I had loads of wonderful cc that took me months to download to the point where I had 7GB of mods and cc in my game. I opened up my game, and all my cc was in the game, running perfectly. I decided to delete the Slice of Life mod because it was making my game slower, so I closed my game and deleted it. I also went to deleted my localthumbcache, because I had added new cc before I opened my game the first time. I opened my game a second time to start playing, but all my cc was not on my sims anymore, and my mods were all gone. I closed my game and looked in my mods folder, but they had all dissapeared. I figured I accidentally deleted them, so I checked in my recycle bin, but nothing was in there. I've checked everywhere on my computer and I cannot find them. I really don't want to have to download all the cc again, it would take forever. Has anyone had this happen before?? Please let me know because I'm very upset about this.
