mods aren't showing up in gameplay but are on the homescreen..

hi im kinda new to sims and ive just started trying to download mods..

i think im downloading them the correct way - download them into electronic arts>sims4>mods - and when i open sims 4 it comes up with that pop up saying theyre downloaded, but when i load a game or start a new household the mods aren't showing up and its like i never downloaded them :-(

what do i do please help!!

Hi;

Make sure the mods you have downloaded are the latest ones from the modder you retrieved them from. What's more, make sure they are extracted from .zip files; all mod files should be .package or .ts4script files. Anything that's a .zip, .rar, .7z or any other compressed file will not be loaded as an actual mod.
