"Mods Disabled" screen every time i launch sims 4

since the last sims 4 businesses and hobbies update, i replaced my mccc (only mod i have besides cc) with a new version, and launched the game. i did the usual restart, but this time, it kept telling me mods were disabled with every update. now it doesnt matter how much ive tried, it keeps sending that same message when i try to reenable. ive removed my cc, and tried just mods, and vice versa, but it always does it, and says i dont have any mods when i look at the list. however, when i got rid of both my mccc and cc, it stopped doing it, and said mods were enabled, but when i add them again the cycle repeats. has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know how i can fix this? this was my first time launching the game since february this year, but my first time enabling mods was probably around summer 2024.
